| An Unusual Mahogany Display Cabinet. The wavy carved cornice above a guilloche frieze of twisted ribbon linking sprigs of roses, wheat & thistle. The two long glazed doors with carved glazing bars in the form of scrolling interlaced ribbons tied into extravagant bows with tassels hanging from the centres and enclosing four adjustable shelves. The canted sides embellished with pendant tassels hung from cord knotted into figures of eight and leading down to a moulded base above acanthus carved shaped bracket feet, 521/2 ins (133 cms) in width, 78 ins (198 cms) in height. | |||
